This Bible translation, which is based on the Latin Vulgata,
was made under the direction of Professor Jan Theodoor Beelen.
Professors J. Th. Beelen, V. J. Coornaert, J. Corluy, O. E.
Dignant, P.L. Haghebaert and A.G. Vandeputte all collaborated
in the work. Hence, it is known as the Bible of the professors
(Professorenbijbel).
