Charles Butler was born in Buckinghamshire around the
year 1560. During his life he was an English priest, musician,
linguist and, last but not least, a bee-keeper. He was a man
of many interests. He published many works among which the
publication we show below. Up to his death on 28 March 1647
he served several small parishes, amongst them Laurence-Wotton
for 48 years.
