Cornelis Ten Hoet Jz. was born in Nijmegen on April 19,
1796. In the year 1818 he became a public notary in Beek and
Ubbergen. He also loved poetry. It is well known that the
had a special love for German poetry which he translated from
German into Dutch. He passed away on May 7, 1832 in Nijmegen
after a prolonged illness that kept him bed-ridden for 2 years.
He died at the age of 36.
He used the Divine Name in the poem 'Het onweder' (can
be found in: 'Neerlands Letterkunde in de Negentiende Eeuw'
