Object: Through the southern nave, you
can go to the chapel Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe, built in the year
1857. The style of the chapel is Neo-Byzantine with awe inspiring
wall paintings. On the web site of AMUZ you can read that
the northern apse is decorated with the image of God, seen
by Daniel. Because of water damage the paintings are impaired.
The Divine Name on the top round arch is written in the form
of 'Jehovah'.
God's name can the second time be seen on the pulpit.
The elegant pulpit made by Hendrik Verbruggen, one of the
leading masters in the production of church furniture, was
made in 1697. On the front the Divine Name is written in the
shape of the Tetragrammaton.
The pictures are shown with the kind courtesy and cooperation
of AMUZ.
