Bruges - Sint Salvatorkathedraal

City: Bruges is situated in the North-West of Belgium, near the sea. In fact, in a sense, even into the sea as the village of Zeebrugge, situated in the North Sea, is a part of Bruges. The economic importance of Bruges is mainly derived from its modern port. The main attraction of Bruges for tourists is its beautiful and well preserved historic city centre. The old buildings, the beautiful and idyllic little canals and bridges are a delight for the eye. That is why the inner city has about 100 hotels.

Building: Sint Salvatorkathedraal

The cathedral of St. Salvator is located on the 'Steenstraat'. The cathedral is the main church of Brugge. Originally it was a parish church built in the 10th century. After a few fires the church was rebuilt from 1250 in Gothic style.

Object: You can find the Divine Name in the top of the leaded window.
