City: Bruges is situated in
the North-West of Belgium, near the sea. In fact, in a sense,
even into the sea as the village of Zeebrugge, situated in
the North Sea, is a part of Bruges. The economic importance
of Bruges is mainly derived from its modern port. The main
attraction of Bruges for tourists is its beautiful and well
preserved historic city centre. The old buildings, the beautiful
and idyllic little canals and bridges are a delight for the
eye. That is why the inner city has about 100 hotels.
