Houthalen - St. Martinuskerk

City: Houthalen is a part-municipality of the city of Houthalen-Helchteren. This place lies in the Belgian province of Limburg, 10 kilometres north of Hasselt. On the 1st January 2010 Houthalen-Helchteren had 30,126 inhabitants with no less than 55 different nationalities. The city is known for its recreation parks and unique natural beauty with beautiful forests and heathlands , sand dunes and lakes.

Building: St. Martinuskerk The tower of the church and the choir in marl stone were built in the15th century. The section between is, in so-called religious terms, "newer" - it is from the year 1930.

Object: In one of the art-deco windows the Divine Name can be found in the form of the Tetragrammaton.
