Country: Costa Rica (literally 'Rich
Coast ") is a country in Central America. The country,
with a little more than 4 million inhabitants, lies between
Panama and Nicaragua. West of Costa Rica is the Pacific Ocean
and to the East lies the Caribbean Sea. The country has vast
national parks and nature reserves. Up to 25% of the country
is designated as a protected area. Much of it consists of
tropical rainforest. Costa Rica is one of the most prosperous
countries of Latin America, and is therefore also known as
"the Switzerland of Central America".
