Country: The Czech Republic is a country
in Central Europe. The country has borders with Germany, Poland,
Slovakia and Austria. Historically the country has been divided
up into three smaller regions; Bohemia, Moravia and Czech
Silesia. Most of the borders are formed by mountain ranges.
The Czech Republic became an independent Republican on the
1st January 1993, after Slovakia peacefully left its previous
union with the Czech Republic. It is remarkable that of the
10,211,904 inhabitants (2009) 59% claim to be non-believers.
27% are Catholic.
