Nová Paka - Kostel svatého Mikuláše (St. Nicholas)

City: Nova Paka is a city in the north of the Czech republic. The city is mentioned for the first time in 1357 on the occasion of the ordination of a new priest.

 

Building: The church St. Nicholas (Kostel svatého Mikuláše) also was known to be in existence in those days. The church has been altered several times, the last time was in 1872.


Object: Our attention is focused on the statue, left at the entrance door. God's name is written on it, in Hebrew.
