Auxerre - Saint Etienne

City: Auxerre is the capital city of the department Yonne (region Bourgogne). The city, located on the river Yonne had 37,218 inhabitants in the year 2007. With its centre in hexagon shape, its boulevards and its mediaeval walls Auxerre is visited by many tourists.

Gebouw: Also the St. Etienne cathedral is considered as a place of interest. The cathedral is built in 1215 on top of the remains of a Roman church which was destroyed by fire in the year 1023.

Object: In the cathedral, on top of a side altar the Divine name is written, or, at least this was the intention.
