City: Parigné is a commune in
the Ille-et-Vilaine département, in Brittany. The municipality
is located 12 km north of Fougères and 68 km north-east
of Rennes. The 1274 inhabitants, Parignéens, live in
an area of 20,72 km². The region where Parigné
is located is dominated by forest.
Building: Eglise Notre Dame
The parish church is the Notre Dame. The first church
was built in the 15th century. There are still some remnants,
including the church tower. The rest of the building was rebuilt
in the 19th century. It was first rebuilt in 1854. The transept
and the choir were rebuilt at a later date. A second modification
followed in 1886. The outlook of the church retained its Gothic
style.
