Building:
On the plaque beneath is written:
STEFANSKIRCHE
"The Stephan church is mentioned in documents as
early as 1072 and 1371. The current late-Gothic building is
from the year 1486. The roof of the church and the spire were
destroyed in the fire of 1689. From an art-historical view
the epitaphs of the 16th century are very interesting. There
were major renovations in 1716, 1752 and 1968."
Object:
On one of the tablets, at the back of the church, the Divine
name is written. The tablet is dated 1581. On top is written
'IEHOVAE REDEMPTO RI VNICO, HONOR ET GLORIA. Translation: 'Iehovae
the only redeemer, for honour and glory.'
