City: Trier is boasted to be the oldest
city of Germany. The city can be found on the right hand side
of the river Mosel. There are about 101,000 inhabitants. The
order to build the city was given by the Roman Emperor August
in the year 16 B.C. Originally, the city was named Augusta
Treverorum and was intended to be the capital city of the
Roman province Belgica Prima.
