Bruinisse - Nederlands Hervormde Kerk

City: Bruinisse is a village in Zeeland (Netherlands). In 1997 the village was, together with other municipalities merged into the community of Duiveland. Today Bruinisse is mainly known for mussel fishing. The local mussel farmers supply up to a third of all mussels produced in the Netherlands. On the dam in the fishing port is a statue of an open mussel!

In Bruinisse live 4,037 people (2010), including many young families.

Building: Dutch Reformed Church.

In 1904, the first stone of the neoclassicistic church was laid on the site of the earlier church of 1864. In 1962 there was a thorough restoration.
