City: Ciudad Rodrigo is a municipality in the West of Spain, in the province of Salamanca, about 25 km from the border of Portugal. It was named after Earl Rodrigo González who founded the city in the middle of the 12th century. There must have already been a settlement of people there. In the sixth century BC it is known that a Celtic Iberian tribe were living here. Over the centuries the city was often involved in wars. and large parts of the city were often destroyed by war actions.

Today the Ciudad Rodrigo numbers 13975 inhabitants (2008).

Building: "El Seminario de San Cayetano" is the name of the building that we are highlighting below. It is located in Ciudad Rodrigo, a town in the province Salamanca (region Castile and León) of Spain. The building was inaugurated as a seminary on November 26, 1769. Today the building is used as a museum.

Object: On top of the building is God's name written as the Tetragrammaton. It is notable that the masoretic vowels are also present; this makes the pronunciation 'Jehowah' or 'Jehovah'.
