City: Kungälv is a municipality
to the west coast of Sweden, about 20 kilometers north of
Göteborg. The municipality of 40,000 inhabitants was
founded in 1612.
Building: This house shown
here is the Zetterlöfska house in Kungälv. It was
built in 1762 and is one of the oldest houses in Kungälv.
Today it is classified as an historical monument. The house
was bought in the late 1800’s by Alderman E. Zetterlöfska.
Object: Above the entrance
door a Bible text can be observed. The text is a quotation
of Psalm 4:8: ". In peace will I both lay me down and
sleep; for thou, Jehovah, alone makest me to dwell in safety."
