Malmö - St. Petri kyrka

City: Malmö is the second largest city in Sweden. The city lies in the most southern part of the country. Originally the city was founded in 1275 and was at that time part of Denmark. The city was given to Sweden at the Peace Treaty of Roskilde in 1658. Due to the city's internet site, the city is now changing from an historical city to a city of knowledge. There has been great investment in many new technologies and high-tech training.

Building: The St. Petri kyrka (Saint Peter church) is one of the oldest curiosities of the city. This church, which has been rebuilt many times, was first built as a small church in 1269. The last drastic renovation was in 1850, under the guidance of professor CG Brunius från Lund.

Object:

Band of images 2: God’s name is to be seen very clearly on the main altar. It is painted at the top, within a painting.
Band of images 3: God's name is found a second time here on an altarpiece. Here it is shown in a sun surrounded by clouds.
Band of images 4: here we find the Tetragrammaton in a glass work above the entrance doors.

On the last image band is a chasuble. A chasuble is a sleeveless robe worn by the priest as he dedicates the mass. Noteworthy is God's name in Hebrew.
