Salt Lake City - Church Museum of History

City: On July 24, 1847, Salt Lake City was founded by 143 men, 3 women and 2 children. They settled on the eastern side of the Great Salt Lake. The first immigrants were Mormon pioneers trying to escape from persecution due to their faith. Salt Lake City is now not only the capital of the State of Utah but also the largest city in the state.

181,698 people are living here.

Building: 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' has a museum were their history is told. On the front side of the museum, above the entrance, is an impressive relief with several tableaux. You can see a map of Europe with Hebrew inscriptions. In this Hebrew text you can see the Tetragrammaton.
